About Me

Moses Jok Kuol Aluong

Moses Jok Kuol Aluong is a passionate and very curious Dental Surgeon, currently doing internship at Mulago National Referral Hospital, Uganda, and looking forward to graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in January 2025 from Makerere University.
With a solid foundation in General Dentistry, Moses is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, advancing research, and addressing global health challenges. He also has special interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

 

Research and Academic Involvement

Since 2021, Moses has been receiving research mentorship from the Health Professional Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI) at Makerere University College of Health Sciences. Actively working on several publishable papers.

Leadership Roles and Experience

At Makerere University: Served as Guild Representative Councilor for the School of Dentistry. Served as Minister for International Students’ Affairs in the 89th Guild. Collaborated with university officials, student leaders, organizations, and embassies.
Outside the University: Deputy Speaker of the South Sudanese Students Union in Uganda (2023/24). Active member of the Rotaract Club of Mulago. Participated in several community outreach projects.

Social Impact and Community Engagement

Co-founded the Dongriin Foundation, a community-based organization advocating for refugee education in Uganda. Lobbies for scholarships and bursaries for gifted refugee students. Runs virtual and physical library initiatives. Mobilizes and distributes scholastic materials.

Public Speaking ,Conferences and more

Invited as a speaker at several conferences, sharing insights on healthcare and leadership. Recipient of the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship, providing exceptional academic and personal growth opportunities.
